Jointing/Splicing, Termination & Testing

Data Optics Ltd has a wealth of experience of all types of fibre jointing and splicing. This experience is key, particularly in instances where high fibre count cables are being used and where good preparation is more than usually vital to a successful outcome first time.

Data Optics uses state-of-the-art fusion splicers to achieve results to the highest standards every time.

Data Optics' preferred method for termination of multimode fibre is heat cure, glue and polish. For singlemode fibre it is fusion splicing using factory terminated pig tails, however, these methods are not always appropriate or may not meet the client's requirements.

Whatever the requirement Data Optics' engineers will almost certainly have seen and used it before and will be able to deliver high quality, fault free terminations.

Clients' requirements for testing also vary and Data Optics can provide OTDR, ILM and Pass/Fail results as appropriate. Results are always recorded and presented in a timely fashion, with any necessary reading software.
