About Us

Data Optics Ltd was originally established in the late 1980s and over the following 10 years became one of the country's premier providers of fibre optic products and skills. The company was founded by engineers and it developed a wide and well deserved reputation for delivering high quality work, on time and within budget.

Subsequent natural growth and acquisition saw the company become part of a larger group with operations across a range of communications related activities. This group was involved in some of the largest local area and wide area network installations of the time, often in recognition of its fibre expertise.

Throughout this period Data Optics retained an engineering base dedicated to fibre installation and as the group's principal business developed away from network installation toward system design and managed services it was agreed to re-establish Data Optics Ltd as an independent company.

This transfer was completed in May 2007 since which time the company has concentrated on providing the service it was always renowned for as a fibre optic specialist sub-contractor.
